Bengali Calendar Privacy Policy

Bengali Calendar: Panjika 1433 (“the app”) is an Android app with a Bengali calendar and panjika for Bangabda 1433, showing tithi, nakshatra, festivals and auspicious dates. It is published by Sunny Enterprise (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

To remember your choices, the app saves the following on your phone: your language (Bengali or English), your digit style (Bengali or English digits), which reminders you turned on, and whether you have removed ads. This information is never sent to us or to any server we run. We cannot see it.

The calendar and panjika data is stored inside the app and works without an internet connection. You can delete your saved choices at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

• Internet: used only to load ads and to complete a purchase through Google Play.
• Notifications: used only to show the optional 7 AM reminders for Ekadashi, Purnima, Amavasya and festivals, if you turn them on. Reminders are created on your phone and do not involve any server.
• Run at startup: used only so that your reminders continue after you restart your phone.
• Google Play Billing: used for the optional “Remove ads” purchase.

The app does not ask for access to your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, files or location.

The free version of Bengali Calendar is supported by ads provided by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). The app shows banner, native, full-screen and app-open ads. AdMob may collect and use data such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. This data is handled by Google under its own policies:

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before ads are requested, using Google’s consent message. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings > Privacy and ad choices.

You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

The optional one-time “Remove ads” purchase is handled by Google Play. We receive only confirmation that the purchase was made. We never see your card or payment details. You can restore the purchase in the app on the same Google account.

• We do not collect your name, email or phone number.
• We do not collect or track your location.
• We do not store your choices on our servers.

These providers have their own privacy policies, which apply to the data they handle.

Your saved choices stay on your phone until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. We do not hold a copy. Data handled by Google for advertising is kept under Google’s own policies.

You can turn reminders on or off at any time in the app, delete your saved choices by clearing the app’s storage, and control ads personalisation in your Android settings. Because we do not hold an account or a copy of your choices, there is usually nothing further for us to delete, but you can contact us about any privacy question or request.

Depending on where you live (for example India, the EU or the UK), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to complain to your data protection authority.

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us.

Tithi, nakshatra, festival and auspicious-date information is given for general guidance. Please confirm important dates with a priest or a printed panjika before important events.

Your saved choices are stored in the app’s private storage on your phone. Ads are loaded over encrypted connections where the ad provider supports them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version on this page.
