Gujarati Panchang Privacy Policy

Gujarati Calendar - Panchang (ગુજરાતી પંચાંગ) (“the app”) is an Android app with a Gujarati calendar and panchang for Vikram Samvat 2083 (November 2026 to December 2027), showing tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise and sunset, Rahu Kaal, choghadiya, festivals and auspicious dates. It is published by Sunny Enterprise (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

To remember your choices, the app saves the following on your phone: your language (Gujarati, English or both), your digit style (Gujarati or English digits), which reminders you turned on, whether you have removed ads, and your location choice (whether you allowed location and, if you did, your last approximate position). This information is never sent to us or to any server we run. We cannot see it.

The calendar and panchang data is stored inside the app and works without an internet connection. You can delete your saved choices at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

• Internet: used only to load ads and to complete a purchase through Google Play.
• Notifications: used only to show the optional 7 AM reminders for Ekadashi, Purnima, Amavasya and festivals, if you turn them on. Reminders are created on your phone and do not involve any server.
• Run at startup: used only so that your reminders continue after you restart your phone.
• Google Play Billing: used for the optional “Remove ads” purchase.
• Approximate location (optional): if you allow it, the app reads your approximate location to calculate sunrise, sunset, Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, Abhijit and choghadiya for where you are. The calculation happens on your phone. The app does not ask for precise location. If you do not allow it, the app works normally and shows times for Vadodara, Gujarat.

The app does not ask for access to your microphone, camera, contacts, photos or files.

Location is optional. If you allow it, your approximate position is used only inside the app, on your phone, to calculate sunrise and sunset. We save your last approximate position (as rounded coordinates) on your phone so the times are ready when you open the app. It is never sent to us or to any server we run, and we do not use it for tracking, profiling or ads.

You can turn it off at any time in the app under Settings > Your location, or take back the permission in your Android settings (Settings > Apps > this app > Permissions). Clearing the app’s storage also removes the saved position.

Separately, Google AdMob may collect approximate location as part of the ads it serves, as described under Advertising below. That is handled by Google, not by us.

The free version of Gujarati Panchang is supported by ads provided by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). The app shows banner, native, full-screen and app-open ads. AdMob may collect and use data such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. This data is handled by Google under its own policies:

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before ads are requested, using Google’s consent message. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings > Privacy and ad choices.

You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

The optional one-time “Remove ads” purchase is handled by Google Play. We receive only confirmation that the purchase was made. We never see your card or payment details. You can restore the purchase in the app on the same Google account.

• We do not ask you to create an account.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not collect your name, email or phone number.
• We do not collect or track your location. If you allow location, it stays on your phone.
• We do not store your choices on our servers.

These providers have their own privacy policies, which apply to the data they handle.

Your saved choices stay on your phone until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. We do not hold a copy. Data handled by Google for advertising is kept under Google’s own policies.

You can turn reminders and location on or off at any time in the app, delete your saved choices by clearing the app’s storage, and control ads personalisation in your Android settings. Because we do not hold an account or a copy of your choices, there is usually nothing further for us to delete, but you can contact us about any privacy question or request.

Depending on where you live (for example India, the EU or the UK), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to complain to your data protection authority.

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us.

Tithi, nakshatra, festival and auspicious-date information is given for general guidance and follows the Vadodara, Gujarat panchang. Sunrise, sunset and the times based on them are calculated for your location if you allow it, and may differ by a few minutes from printed calendars. Please confirm important dates with a pandit or a printed panchang before important events.

Your saved choices, including your last approximate position, are stored in the app’s private storage on your phone. Ads are loaded over encrypted connections where the ad provider supports them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version on this page.
