TalkBridge Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 October 2026

In short
  • TalkBridge has no accounts, and we do not sell your data.
  • Translation happens on your phone. Your history stays on your device.
  • We do not store your voice or keep your conversations on our servers.
  • The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob, which may collect certain data as described below.

Who we are

TalkBridge: Voice Translator (“the app”) is an Android voice translation app, with an optional guest web page, published by Sunny Enterprise (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app or the guest page.

Your voice (microphone)

The app asks for microphone permission so it can hear you when you tap a microphone button. Speech is turned into text by the speech recognition service built into your Android phone, which is provided by Google. When your phone is online, this service may send your audio to Google’s servers to be processed. When an offline speech pack is installed, recognition can happen on the device. We do not receive or store your audio. Google’s own policies apply to that processing.

Translation and speech output

Text is translated on your phone using Google ML Kit on-device translation. The language packs (about 30 MB each) are downloaded from Google once. The translated text is read aloud using your phone’s built-in text-to-speech engine. In single-phone mode, what you say and its translation are not sent to our servers.

History on your device

Your conversations are saved in the History tab, on your phone only. We cannot see them. You can delete one conversation by swiping it away, clear everything with “Clear all”, or remove them by uninstalling the app.

Online rooms

If you use an online room, each sentence you speak is sent as text, together with its translation, a language code and a random temporary ID created by the app, to the other person in the room. This is relayed in real time through Supabase, our real-time messaging provider. We do not save these messages in a database or keep a copy.

Rooms are identified by a 6-digit code and need no account, name or phone number. A room holds two people. Anyone who knows an active room code can try to join it, so share codes only with the person you want to talk to. Supabase may process technical connection data such as your IP address in order to provide the service.

The guest web page

A friend without the app can join a room from a link in a web browser. That page uses your browser’s speech recognition and speech output (in Chrome, speech recognition may send audio to Google) and connects to the same real-time service as above. The page has no accounts and sets no cookies of its own. It is hosted by Vercel, which may record standard server logs such as IP address and browser type.

Advertising

The free version of TalkBridge is supported by ads provided by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob may collect and use data such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. This data is handled by Google under its own policies:

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app asks for your consent before ads are requested, using Google’s consent message. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

Purchases

If you buy the optional “Remove ads” unlock, payment is handled by Google Play. We receive only confirmation that the purchase was made. We never see your card or payment details.

What we do not do

  • We do not ask you to create an account.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not store your voice recordings.
  • We do not keep your translated conversations on our servers.

Services that process data for the app

  • Google (Android speech recognition and text-to-speech, ML Kit translation, AdMob, Google Play)
  • Supabase (real-time message relay for online rooms)
  • Vercel (hosting of the guest web page)

These providers have their own privacy policies, which apply to the data they handle.

Data retention and deletion

Conversation history stays on your phone until you delete it or uninstall the app. Messages in online rooms are not kept by us after they are delivered. Information handled by Google, Supabase and Vercel is kept under their own policies.

Your choices and rights

You can deny or withdraw microphone permission in your phone’s settings (the voice features will then not work). You can delete your History at any time inside the app. Because we do not hold an account or a copy of your conversations, there is usually nothing further for us to delete, but you can contact us about any privacy question or request.

Depending on where you live (for example India, the EU or the UK), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us.

Security

Online room messages travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version on this page.
